Serjio Rios is an Edward R. Murrow and Emmy award winning TV/Film Editor working in television and news for the past 15+ years. Born in Las Vegas, Nevada with an affinity to watch and recreate every movie and television show he can get his hands on, he’s set out shlepping to Los Angeles where he worked on high calibre B movies like Mega Shark Vs Giant Octopus, The Terminators (lol) and the 2008 religious sleeper hit Sunday School Musical - by the time The Asylum had been in production for Sharknado he’d unfortunately already moved to New York City where he could touch both apartment walls at the same time.
That small apartment is where he began to be excited about the process of telling powerful stories, that hooked viewers and keep people watching to the end. With the unique ability to blend the borders between mass entertainment and compelling narratives. His work combines an astute sensibility for predicting cultural trends, all accentuated by a genuine appreciation for anything and everything ridiculous.

In his spare time he enjoys eating cheese products and swearing it’ll be different this time even though he’s lactose intolerant.
